I loved the photo at the very instant I saw it...It may be because love natural colors of Europe which are so rampant in the picture...
The angle of Bike towards the girl makes me dub this picture as ad for Bajaj Pulsar - a remarkably famous bike brand in India
The interesting elements in picture -
1. Girl is curiously looking at something - her posture is very casual and very relaxed and might I say makes the picture a little sensuous
Even the kid in the picture seems to be looking at her - (top right corner ) and so is the bike...
2. Colors in the picture - I don't like artificial lighting in a picture ...earthen colors in the picture , white color of the bike - all made my day...

Its pure unadulterated vivaciousness in the eyes of the girl - sheer excitement that makes you feel happy...
She is quoite contrast to the confident girl - I had posted sometime back ...
Here is my analysis -
1. Colors - colors have always been so cheerful - they denote variation of things, elements in life - and break monotonicity of life...this is very well exemplified in the picture - different colors here reflect upon different moods
2. Smile - Quite contrast to the earlier post - One smile has changed so much in the picture - wth hair careened and properly stuck - her smiling face appears so refreshing!
I am sure the next time you are not in the right mood - just one look at this image can fill you with excitement and will to take on life ...again...

Symbols in the image and my interpretation -
Symbol #1. - Leafless tree - The tree in the forefront does not have a leaf...while the tree on right side is lush green
Interpretation - Reminds me of lighthouse and other elements that boatmen use to find direction around seas or oceans to steer their boats
Symbol #2 - Sepia color
Interpretation - As I have indicated earlier- sepia color evokes a feel / thought of something cherished in past - history...or some sort of involvement with the image...here as well you can see this in play...
Symbol #3- The stature and character of tree - it is straight and yet convoluted
you feel a bit intrigued by the uprightness of the protagonist....you can a bit of "Will Power" - "perseverance" and "discipline'... the values which are generally attributed to leadrship - leader who indicates you to do something - one who shows you path...
So here it is ...pathfinder or Leader...

My job at HCL entails lot of important meetings and presentations...sometimes I think I do a good job in making presentations interesting...I think it helps a branding person if he is a visual thinker ...

Photographed by Nazlila - I was lost in the photo - following elements appealed most to me...
1. Black and White - Somehow I love the images without colors ...colors give dimensions to any pictures but amidst all the colors the core of the picture gets subdued...
2. Posture - Girl could be interpreted to be happy or sad but the way she is sitting - laid back with the hair fallen on side and - the biggest point - the cigarette - somehow draws towards the sadness the image has...
3. Eyes - Powerful and glistening - they look straight at you as if evaluating you...
The image conveys to me of the times when you are sad and missing someone - the someone who will never come back ...someone who is your life...but is now lost forever...or of some tragic occurrence which has happened...and the girl is in deep contemplation of how to come out of it...

Loved the play of cloud and rays...no rocket science this one...looks like God is coming down ...

My second black and white picture of the day...and is it just a coincident that 2 pictures I interpreted today - both seem to be related to each other? ...It rained today so may be my left brain is playing tricks with right brain in defying the logic somehow!
But let me tell this - I selected the pictures with out any bias and the fact they seem to be related is just a coincidence!
1. The posture - Lady is relaxed and is ecstatic from the rains...Also she not soaked and it indicates it has just started
2. The background - is dilapidated...and somehow adds to the passion in the image
3. Drops of water - This have been captured beautifully in the camera
To me this photo depicts simple "joy of life"...
PS: I wish the photo would have been colorful!

Today, I was going through Deviant art and I then came upon this picture from Sergio...
Its a great work - the black and wite color complementing each other so damn well...
1. The blade of grass - They look dry to me - pointing high to the clouds as if they are appealing them to rain - they are dry - and they crave for rain...
2. The Bush- Even the shrub appears to be swaying to the tune of the air as if happily singing for the coming of rain...
3. The motion of clouds - This is the most appealing part of the picture to me...dark clouds appear to be storming and engulfing the space above the parch lands...aggressively...
To me the image stands for "Desire"

Where does a mother end and a daughter begin?
The tag line is from the movie adapted on the book - White Oleander...
The image on the top is just like the book... thoughtful like a knife and cuts you deep in the heart...the protagonist appears so sad...lost in thought and under so much of pondering while zipping the dress up...the hair fallen over her face and the naked back exposes her body and emotions...fighting...fighting to hold onto her wrecked body...emotions and still fighting to stand up...
coming back to tagline...I dont who this person is Astrid or Ingrid...could be either...after all its tough to answer where Ingrid ends and where Astrid starts ...they both are so much into each other...not just mentally (being mother and daughter) but also in the spirits...
While on the photography trip to Pondicherry , I saw a person so deeply meditating in the morning that I was lost in my own thoughts.
The ship in the background, the keen intent of the person, the timing of the photo somehow made me feel so chaotic from inside. All the mundane work - professional deadlines , personal battles, sour taste of life - and the setting started to have an impact on me and I started feeling an urge to try to somehow purge all the negativity inside and look at positivity of what life has to offer.
This picture some how appealed to me to keep on fighting to bring back the balance of life - balance of self and outside world - balance between my deeds and outcome of my deeds, and what is more - balance between myself and my soul - encouraging me to keep on fighting and rise like a phoenix.

The way the camera has clicked the man in center hints at the guy to be the protagonist as the entire picture is centered around him...further...the protagonist is not relaxed but is bent which indicates he is thinking... missing a company of dear one...on the left side we see a couple enjoying life which could be further be pinching the protagonist to long for the missing dear one...he looks up and sees magnificent surrounding...lots of people...but then he looks at himself and finds no one...no one near him or around him but only loneliness...so even when he is in the crowd he is lonely...

The image has some wonderful play of colors...the inset picture which is in green - color which is a symbol of fresh or new - and the main picture is grey....the expression of the protagonist is that of a surprised, hassled and careworn which changes to carefree, relaxed and chilled out attitude...also the color of the t-shirt appears to be shade of green in inset picture...The story which comes out from these observation is...
The protagonist has been trying to start a new...fresh...may be because of a recent failure or defeat...but he promises himself to be victorious as he is optimistic.

I loved the nostalgia in this picture...it reminded me of the fairy tale stories which grandmother used to tell me when I was child...their is a stairway to heaven full of ice cream which goes through white clouds...when I saw the clouds the stories appeared to be true in some little way...
I took this photo while in the sky of Kuala Lumpur...coming back to India...and was published on Cloud Appreciation Society...

Lot of thoughts crawl into mind on seeing this image...is it God pondering at his creation? is it a human being wondering what a speck it is as compared to universe?...or is it loneliness at which a man is feeling?
Interpretations are always dependents on mood of a person...so going by this ...I would like to actually believe that its the sadness of being lonely that the person is reflecting on seeing the entire universe...

What I liked about the picture is the sheer silence - the statues standing resemble that of a mental status of any human - still...trying to live in the moments of thought...just with self - even though you can see other statues away but they are not near...the entire moor land...with horizon in backdrop...sky trying to burst with loudness...
is it symbolizing death in someway? dont know yet!
The waves getting mixed with the sky in the horizon - unblemished and unaltered purity of water - reflected by the presence of nothing else but a twig floating in the forefront of the picture - two people - the companions - moving ahead to somewhere which seems like eternity - it looks that they are going upstream in search for something.
As I have always believed, every interpretation is contextual - to the thoughts prevailing in mind then - to the milieu enveloping a soul - and so this picture was a refreshing sight for me - in the midst of our lives when there is so much competition - fierce race to win over others - this picture reminded me of my long time dream of doing something I really want to do - from my heart - not just from my mind - really forget everything in doing that thing - immerse myself in that spirit and attain calmness - serenity of life.
PS: Had the twig and boat not been there - it would have been impossible t distinguish if it was sea or desert.

Serenity....calm...reflected by the protagonist's seating position...the water gurgling behind seems very chaotic....very anxious...very disturbed....but the person sitting is smiling...that subtle smile seems to overpower everything that is chaotic and complicated....and what leaves impression behind is the smile....
