Serenity

I am impressed by the calmness portrayed by this.

The waves getting mixed with the sky in the horizon - unblemished and unaltered purity of water - reflected by the presence of nothing else but a twig floating in the forefront of the picture - two people - the companions - moving ahead to somewhere which seems like eternity - it looks that they are going upstream in search for something.

As I have always believed, every interpretation is contextual - to the thoughts prevailing in mind then - to the milieu enveloping a soul - and so this picture was a refreshing sight for me - in the midst of our lives when there is so much competition - fierce race to win over others - this picture reminded me of my long time dream of doing something I really want to do - from my heart - not just from my mind - really forget everything in doing that thing - immerse myself in that spirit and attain calmness - serenity of life.

PS: Had the twig and boat not been there - it would have been impossible t distinguish if it was sea or desert.

I was very happy to read your comment, thank you Anshul. I took this photograph soon after sunrise on the river Nile, a special place and time where over the millennia people have woken day by day to their life journey and calling.

I remember your brilliant questions Anshul and enjoy the way you probe the world and life
